Playazon Coyote Services

For the truly adventurous burner only! If you have always dreamed of emigrating on foot to the promised land, Playazon is offering two novel and discounted entry vectors into Black Rock City via our Coyote Services. In addition to avoiding the long, dusty entry lines you will get to test yourself in one of the most challenging environments this side of Donner Pass.

Your group leader will be familiar with local lore and will entertain you on your passage with tales of starvation, dehydration and other tragedies drawn from the history of the very ground you are treading.

In the Burning Man spirit of self-reliance, you will need to provide your own food, water, and toilet paper. Good night vision and extensive hiking experience are a must for both treks. E-mail pzcoyote@Playazon to check availability.

Gerlach Route

Meet at sunset behind Bruno's Motel in Gerlach. From there it is a relatively easy walk to the southern edge of the Black Rock Desert. Five to six hours of moderate hiking and a short, stealthy crawl past the BLM outpost will land you in the walk-in camping area.

Sulphur Route

Meet late afternoon at the intersection of Jackson Creek Ranch Road and the Western Pacific railroad tracks just north of Highway 49. From there it is approximately 27 miles of fast hiking to the outskirts of Black Rock City. You should reach the wind fence just before dawn and will be guided into the city past some of the most happening rave venues - so don't forget to pack your dancin' shoes.
